Malc had a few nicknames, mostly thanks to grandad Fountain. Grandad called me Nicompoops for my entire life! He called Malc - 'Keenhams' and also Grocer Jack. I don't know why the latter name as that was in a song, how that related to Malc I don't know. I remember when Malc was in hospital when he had his first brain tumour aged 16, myself, nan and my mother were visiting Malc after his operation. We bundled into the car to go home and on the radio was that song. I just burst into sobbing tears because of the words...# Grocer Jack, Grocer Jack, is it what mummy says you won't come back? Oh nooo ohh # I used to call to Malc the same way as the woman on the TV advert in the seventies used to shout to her son. "Malcoooooooolm!". It was for a cold rememdy I think. He was 'Mummy's blue-eyed boy' to mother and he was also called 'Sunshine', I would imagine that's because he always shone!
